"About Us" John Scott is a 3rd generation mechanic who has been drawn to all things mechanical since early childhood. By high school John already possessed a strong automotive background, which he built on by attending GM/Glendale Community College automotive courses. While still in his teens, John fully rebuilt engines for numerous vehicles, including motorcycles. This led to restoration of vintage automobiles and hot rods. Early on he established a reputation for delivering high quality results. John also possesses extensive knowledge of and experience with 12 volt electronics. This includes creation of complex custom schematics, full electrical repair and restoration, and installation of new electrical systems on both automobiles and motorcycles. By his early twenties John was drag racing almost every weekend and had transitioned to high performance mechanics. In addition to American muscle cars he has also worked on high performance race cars such the Acura NSX. This background has served him well as he built and raced his own AHDRA drag bike during the 2007 season. Those who know John always remark upon his strong work ethic, integrity, quality and commitment to customer service. With the encouragement and support of his family, and many friends, John is realizing his dream of owning his own shop – Average Joe’s. Average Joe’s is a place where customers can count on high quality work, at a reasonable, reliable price, with a focus on customer service. Whether it’s an oil change, or complete engine rebuild with performance parts, each customer is valued and each bike receives the same attention to detail.
